Each year, Nottingham Ball Bois FC raises money for a chosen charity. The main fundraising event is our Annual Tournament in May, where money raised is split between club funds and our charitable cause.

It is also possible to donate directly to this year's chosen charity, Everyman, through our online donation page at Justgiving.

Everyman

The chosen charity for 2008 is Everyman. Everyman is a campaign by the Institute of Cancer Research, which funds research into and awareness of male cancers, for example testicular cancer and prostate cancer.

In particular, Everyman runs a testicular cancer awareness campaign in conjunction with the FA encouraging men to 'Keep your eye on the ball.'

In addition to raising funds, Nottingham Ball Bois FC will run some of Everyman's awareness campaigns within the tournament brochure.

For more information about Everyman, see their website.

Nottingham Switchboard

In 2007, the chosen charity was Nottingham Lesbian and Gay Switchboard. A cheque for £250 was presented following fundraising efforts at the first Anniversary Tournament.

The fundraising effort was helped by generous support from two local bars, the New Foresters and Niche, whose managers were in attendance at the presentation.

For more information on Nottingham Switchboard, see their website.

Money donated in this way does not go to the club, but straight to the charitable campaign.
