Nottingham Ball Bois FC is a gay-friendly football club with players from across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. The club provides an environment where players and supporters can enjoy football regardless of their sexual orientation.
In addition to league fixtures, the club plays friendly games and five-a-side tournaments. Training takes place in Nottingham on Sundays from 6pm-8pm, and we also have a mid-week 5-a-side kickabout on Tuesday evenings. The ethos of our club is just as important to us as winning games. We aim to promote an environment where everyone, regardless of background, feels included and able to enjoy the football and the club's social activities. Players of all abilities, including beginners, are welcome, and there is no obligation to play in competitive games. Our current membership is drawn from a broad range of age, ability, gender and sexual orientation. The club is fortunate to have a strong level of support, and new supporters are always welcome. Match officials, or anyone else interested in the running of the club, are also encouraged to come along and be involved in our activities. Sadly, homophobia remains a problem in football at all levels. The Ballbois have been involved with an FA campaign to combat homophobia in the professional game, and also speak regularly about the issue to groups in the local community. If you would like to be involved with Nottingham Ball Bois FC or find out more about the club then please get in touch using our contact details.
