Social events

LGBT History Month is a nationwide event which takes every February. In the run-up to the London Olympics, the theme for 2011 and 2012 is sport. Nottingham Ball Bois are co-ordinating a number of events throughout February, offering a chance to participate in, spectate at or celebrate LGBT sports in the area. Launch Night is a chance to socialise with participants and people interested in LGBT sports in the area and to promote t he club.

There will be displays in the New Foresters and, later in the evening we will be going round the bars of Nottingham in kit.

Joining us on the night will be Panthers RFC, the new gay rugby club for the Midlands, who also be touring the bars in kit. Nottingham LG Switchboard will be in attendance, and the list of groups, both sporting and non-sporting will grow.

The plan for the evening is:

8pm - 10pm - New Foresters. Stalls, information, socialising and some speakers. Presentation of cheque to Nottingham LG Switchboard from Ballbois charity young vs old game. Events to begin at 8.30pm prompt.

10pm - Round the bars - touring the bars in kit.
