22 November 2009 In a hard fought first half in surprisingly sunny if somewhat gusty conditions Nottingham found their passing game that has been sadly lacking in recent fixtures. Matching Bournemouth in all parts of the pitch and with a midfield controlled by skipper Adam R and the outstanding Dave S on right the right wing the Ballbois created several good chances for forwards James H and Julie F. It took a smart fingertip save from keeper Tony L, scrambling to claw a lofted ball on to the crossbar just before half time to ensure the teams went in level. With the wind behind them in the second half the Ballbois looked to build on their enterprising start, believing that a result in their favour was possible. Poor defending allowed Bournemouth to take the lead early in the second half but instead of letting heads drop the Ballbois fought back to score from a Brett L header shortly afterwards. Another soft goal allowed Bournemouth to regain their advantage and although Tony L got a fingertip to a powerful shot from the edge of the area he was powerless to prevent the third. There were chances for Nottingham to get back in the match but as fitness faded on a heavy pitch so did any chance of salvaging a point. Team: Tony L, Shaun B, John S, Brett L, Jeff N, Adam R, Damian S, Dave S, AJ, Julie F, James H
