One goal gave Nottingham a victory in this hard-fought match, although the visitors from Edinburgh were unlucky not to take something from the game, and may well have done had they put away some of their chances.

The first half ended 0-0. The Hotscots shaded the early part of the half and saw their chances saved or going wide. Their best opportunity came on 33 minutes when a save from Tony L rebounded back on the post and onto the goal line, cleared at the last minute by a Nottingham defender.

Nottingham had a brighter end to the half, with near misses for James H and Rob U. Seven minutes after the restart, Nottingham took the lead with Rob C meeting a cross from AJ into the box.

The Ballbois were not allowed to rest comfortably on their lead, with pressure from the visitors throughout the ramiander of the half. A superb double-save from Tony L on 25 minutes kept Nottingham in the game - first from close range in a one-on-one, followed by a tricky lob that came from the initial clearance.

The final five minutes saw the Hotscots pile on the pressure in front of the Nottingham goal, but the Ballbois held on for a narrow victory, in stand-in manager Brett L's 50th Ballbois game.
