22 October 2006 A near Terriers first eleven replicated the score line from the August encounter, but this game had so much more quality, from both sides. The visitors did have the lions share of play and could easily have been further ahead from two at half time. One again pacey strikers were causing major problems so an enforced switch occurred. Although the goal count continued Ballbois began to look more assured and settled. They did infact hit woodwork twice and for a fifteen minute spell rattled their illustrious opponents playing neat passing football. Its hard to beat experience though (never mind Terriers obvious potential of being GFSN champions) so defeat sometimes has to be taken on the chin. Each match is an education and perhaps the score line doesn’t suggest it, but Nottingham competed really well, especially in midfield. The lads reaction to the result showed just how far they’ve come in only three months of competitive matches. Disappointed? Yes, dispirited? No way. Bring on Bournemouth!
