12 April 2008 This friendly saw both teams play experimental sides. An even first period saw few chances created as both defences looked solid. The breakthrough goal came after 35 minutes when Damian S intelligently cut back from the byline before thumping home from twelve yards. Nottingham kept their lead intact until the hour mark as Blaze began to turn the screw. They took control of midfield and numerous searching throughballs finally paid dividends with a converted penalty after a striker was felled whilst running round keeper Tony L. The substitutions kept coming with everyone in the home camp getting a decent run out as eight in total were made. With ten minutes remaining, yet another draw between these two looked likely but when Blaze won themselves a corner inexplicably nobody marked the main threat Craig and his looping header decided things. Team: Jordan K, Scott L, John S, Chris L, Gareth D, Barry S, Damian S, Ian R, Dave O, Reece B, Rennia B
