With the GFSN title secure, Nottingham were able to field a squad team for this final game of the season. There was the matter of an unbeaten record to defend, however.

The visitors had a second place spot to play for and were not about to join in the party atmosphere. With the Ballbois still settling in, the Titans pounced with an early goal, and a second was to follow within ten minutes.

As the half progressed, Nottingham eventually calmed down and organised themselves better. The Titans were dominant throughout the half, but the home team prevented any further goals from going in.

Half time, and six changes were made, the Ballbois manager able to draw upon the resources of a subs' bench bursting with the class that took Nottingham to the title. As play resumed, the impact was immediate with AJ scoring within two minutes.

The fightback was on, but again Titans made it difficult, maintaining their attacking form and shutting out the increasing Ballbois challenge.

As the half progressed, there was a lot of effort from the Ballbois, but seemingly it was to go unrewarded, the champions facing their first defeat of the season.

Then, with the injury time clock ticking down, Jordan K, in his final competitive game for the Ballbois, and making probably his final touch of the ball, powered through to slot the ball home and save the draw.

Nottingham kept their unbeaten record, although the Titans became the only team to take points from the Ballbois during the league season.

The GFSN trophy and medal presentations took place immediately after the game, Nottingham Ball Bois officially crowned GFSN League Champions 2008-9.
