The final score was harsh on a battling Brighton team who shut Nottingham out for most of the first half and had plenty of chances of their own, only to be denied by Dave S with another superb performance in goal. Just before half time, a corner from Damian S was helped into the net by the Brighton goalie's hand (see video).

Brighton continued to battle into the second half, but Nottingham began to exert their dominance on the game with goals following from Rob C and James H, getting his 20th for the club.

Moment of the match came with the fourth goal when Basil L received a cross from the left and calmly and assuredly despatched the ball to the back of the net. Chaos ensued as the team mobbed to congratulate Basil for his first goal in almost four years with the club.

It was not to be Brighton's day, they had plenty of chances on goal and even a late penalty was saved by the in-form Dave S.
