On Saturday October 15th, Nottingham Ball Bois play their first fixture in the Midlands Unity League. The new league brings together four gay-friendly clubs from (pictured l-r) Nottingham, Wolverhampton, Birmingham and Leicester.

Nottingham will continue to play in the national GFSN League. The Midlands league will offer the chance for more fixtures within easy travelling distance, and more opportunities for competitive football for all of the squad.

Each team in the league will play against the other once in a six-nations format. At the end of the season, a play-off day in Birmingham will determine the final league positions.

The first fixture, on October 15th, is at home to Leicester Wildecats. Kick-off is at 2pm at Gresham Sports Park grass pitches. Details and directions are on the fixtures page.
