Leicester Wildecats FC 3 Nottingham Ball Bois FC 1
Sunday November 25th, GFSN Cup Quarter-final
1.00pm, Aylestone Park FC

Nottingham failed to convert a dominant first half performance into a cup semi-final berth and an elusive first away win.

The Ball Bois had most of the play in the first 45 minutes, with Leicester rarely troubling the visitors' goal. Nottingham took the lead on 17 minutes with a well-taken opportunity from James H (above). Despite the dominance, the Ball Bois were unable to add to that lead.

It was a different Nottingham, that came out after half-time. Leicester had much more of the play and Nottingham seemed less assured in front of their own goal. Nevertheless, the slender lead was maintained until half-way through the second 45 until Paul B was lost to injury.

The loss of Paul B proved to be a turning point in the game as Leicester seized to opportunity to put away two goals in quick succession. Nottingham fight back, but a third from Leicester later in the half proved to be decisive.
