With BBC cameras filming the game for a local documentary programme, the Ballbois produced a comfortable but scrappy victory against the London Leftfooters.

Despite taking an early lead, Nottingham's fluency in passing manoeuvres was lacking and their dominance in possession went unrewarded. Only one more goal was to be added before half-time - Damian S's wind-assisted kick that went straight from the corner flag to the back of the net without touching any other players in-between.

Nottingham started off the second half in much the same form, until a third goal opened up the floodgates. By the end of the game Damian S was to score a hat-trick, with James H bagging a brace. Man-of-the-match Jordan K got a single goal, as did Paul B in his first game in charge as manager.

The visitors battled until the end, and their perseverance was rewarded with a goal in the final moments of the game - not just their first of the game but their first of the season - an achievement celebrated in style (see left).

As always, it was a pleasure to host the Leftfooters and enjoy a game played in a friendly spirit throughout.
