Tricks to Land a Date

Getting mixed signals from a person makes it difficult to know if they are interested in a date or not. They may be very easy to chat with, but this does not mean they necessarily want to go out. There are several ways to find out if a date is in the future. Using different lures, it might be possible to find out whether or not they are truly interested in dating or just being friendly.

One way to find out if someone is possibly interested is to dangle a lure. Let them know there is an upcoming class in painting, pottery or some other craft. The information that the date seeker will be attending that class might give them a chance to declare their interest. This is an opportunity to find out if they'd like to attend the class as well. If the answer is yes, the next step might be casually asking them out for a coffee after the class is finished.

Another way to find out if someone is truly interested or just friendly is to casually mention the need for a social function date. There are many occasions when having a date seems necessary and desirable. A relative's wedding is an occasion when a date is expected. A class reunion is another such occasion. If the person mentions they love weddings or find class reunions interesting, this might be a hint they are available for a date.

Using events as a lure is one way to find out if a person is interested in dating. They may still be at the stage where they just want to be friends. After any event, it is always a good idea to call and follow up. This is a good time to ask if they had fun and enjoyed themselves. Taking small steps to find out if a person is interested makes it less awkward to ask if they'd like to go on a regular date. It is often easiest to mention how fun they were to be with and then ask if they'd like to go out at some future time. They may say no, but they may just say yes.
